Vercingetorix

Warchieftainess of the Arverni Gauls (located in modern southern France) . Successfully formed an alliance of Gallic tribes that united under her to fight against the Romans. Defeated Caesar at Gergovia, but was ultimately surrounded and crushed at Alesia. Surrendured to Caesar to spare her people- and then paraded in the streets of Rome as a trophy.
